Exxon reopens oil fields in Guyana
According to Reuters, two new oil fields were reopened at the Sailfin-1 and Yarrow-1 wells on the Stabroek block in Guyana.
The company did not disclose how much crude oil and gas the newly discovered fields contain.
Since Exxon began producinf oil in the country in 2015, that there is a third of oil reserves in Guyana, according to Rystad.
As reported by Rystad, Guyana could become a world oil power in the coming years due to the recent discovery of 11 billion barrels of recoverable oil reserves in the country.
